Say "No" To Dry Lips! // Lip Care Routine

Hi dolls!

The winter is not always our friend, especially when it comes to dry lips!
So today, I want to share my tiny little lip care routine with you.

I really keep it simple when it comes to my lip care.

I usually just use these three products but they're just everything I need! They're the perfect trio. Alina's angels.

We have here the amazing Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub, the Labello (Nivea) Lip Butter Vanilla & Macadamia and my favorite Eucerin Lip Balm Stick.

Lippenpflege muss bei mir immer einfach und schnell gehen, vor allem einfach. Ohne viel Tamtam.

Im Großen und Ganzen benutze ich nur diese drei Produkte, aber für mich sind sie mehr als genug. Das perfekte Trio. Drei Engel für Alina sozusagen.

Als erstes hätten wir hier mein allerliebstes Lush Bubblegum Lip Scrub, die Labello Lip Butter Vanilla & Macadamia und den wunderwunderwunderbaren Eucerin Lippenpflegestift.

 

I use the Lush Lip Scrub to exfoliate my lips nearly everyday. A little goes a long way. You just take a bit, rub it on your lips and then lick the rest off! No kidding, it tastes so good! Like sweet cotton candy. Yum. If I'm about to go somewhere, I just take the Eucerin Stick and I'm finished, but when I stay at home or go to bed, I apply a thick layer of the Lip Butter afterwards. It works best when you leave it on you lips over night, you'll wake up with the softest lips ever. Promise. Mine are always so super soft, I even can wear the driest matte lipsticks without any worry!
Zum Peelen der Lippen gibt es für mich nichts besseres als dieses Lush Lip Scrub (die anderen Lush's funktionieren natürlich genau so super, allerdings sind sie nicht pink. Also bleibe ich einfach bei diesem). Nehmt eine kleine Portion und rubbelt sie mit eurem Finger über die Lippen. Anschließend kann man es (kein Witz!) ablecken - und es ist wirklich lecker! Super süß wie Zuckerwatte.
Wenn ich das Haus verlassen möchte, gehe ich nach dem Peeling noch mit dem Eucerin Stift über meine Lippen und fertig! Naja, Lippenstift drauf - und fertig!
Wenn ich zuhause bleibe, oder am besten über Nacht, trage ich anschießend noch eine dicke Schicht der Lip Butter auf und nach ein paar Stunden oder am nächsten Morgen habe ich die weichsten Lippen überhaupt! Sogar der trockenste matte Lippenstift kann ihnen dann nichts mehr anhaben!

OPI "Don't Speak" 18K Gold Top Coat

A couple of days ago, I received a package from the lovely people from HB Beauty Bar (click) and I want to show you my favorite item of it:

The OPI 18K Gold Top Coat "Don't Speak" from the current Gwen Stefani collection!

 

 

As it said, it's a topper and looks best if you wear it over another polish. And, you probably guessed it from the name, the flakes are of 18K gold. Now, let that sink. Gold. Real gold. It does no just look golden, you're actually wearing gold flakes on your nails! That's the coolest thing ever. Well, for me it is.
Wie der Name schon sagt, ist "Don't Speak" ein Topper und sieht daher am besten aus, wenn er über einem anderen Lack getragen wird. Und, wie ihr bestimmt auch schon vermutet habt, die Flakes, aus denen der Lack besteht, sind aus echtem 18 karätigem Gold. So, einmal tief durchatmen. Gold. Echtes Gold. Auf den Nägeln. Geht's noch cooler? Ich glaube nicht. Das könnte nur noch getoppt werden, wenn Gwen Stefani ihn euch persönlich überreichen würde.

The packaging is very classy as well, it comes in that box I showed you above and the bottle itself is covered in gold (no real gold here!).
Die Aufmachung ist sehr elegant, der Nagellack kommt nicht einfach als Fläschchen, sondern in einer kleinen Schachtel und das Fläschchen selbst ist in folienähnlichem Gold gestaltet (diesmal allerdings kein echtes - man soll ja aufhören, wenn es am schönsten ist).

 

I've worn it over OPI "A Grape Affair" and  they're so beautiful together. It's even prettier in real life and I can't find the words to describe my love to "Don't Speak" (maybe that's why they named it like this). No, I'm 99% sure it's because of that song from No Doubt (if you don't remember it, you'll find the song on YouTube here) what's now stuck in my head.
Ich habe "Don't Speak" über OPI "A Grape Affair" getragen und finde die Kombi perfekt! Ich kann gar nicht sagen, wie sehr ich diesen Lack liebe.

Of course, as it's made of 18K gold, it's more expensive as other OPI polishes. But for me, it's worth having it! It's absolutely flawless and perfect for us princesses!
Da er aus 18K Gold besteht, ist er leider etwas (um nicht zu sagen viel...) teurer als die eigentlichen OPI Nagellacke. Für mich persönlich aber ganz klar ein Must Have, ich meine hallo? Gold! Wenn man sich damit nicht wie eine Prinzessin fühlt, dann weiß ich auch nicht...

Striped and Sparkling Nails // Black, White & Gold

First of all, happy new year! May this one be full of love and glitter.

Today I want to share a manicure with you, I did a couple of days ago.

Honestly, today is the day, I finally took it off. It lasted about two days before the first little chipping started. Amazing. Not. Did I mention before, how important a good top coat is? I used the Essie "Good To Go" (now for me: "Not So Good To Go") here because my beloved HK Girl Top coat from Glisten and Glow (you'll find it here) went empty. I wasn't impressed. It didn't make the polish last at all and of course, it smudged the nail art. Hurray. It was a pain to fix it, but here we go!

 

 

The polishes I used are Essie "Licorice", OPI "Alpine Snow" and Morgan Taylor "Glitter & Gold". I got it from the lovely people from HB Beauty Bar (you'll find their online shop here) and if you use my code "alinapinuccia" at the checkout of their shop, you'll get 15% off of you entire order!
I used the straight nailvinyls from nailvinyls.com to create the straight lines. You can also use nail striping tape as you find it on eBay for cheap (for example here) or just regular sticky tape and cut it into thinner stripes.
But whatever kind of tape you use, make sure the base color is completely dry! And I mean super dry! I usually let it dry over night to be absolutely sure. I don't like to live dangerously when it comes to nail art.

I really loved this mani, black and white is the new thing for me and you can never go wrong with a glittery gold accent nail.
